Rhum Clément Vintage 1980’s

A rare opportunity to sample a 1980’s  Rhum Clément Grappe Blanche.

We have liberated an impressive Rhum Clément Grappe Blanche and made it available in 10ml bottles to make it as accessible as possible.

Bottled at 45% ABV, Clément has been produced in Martinique since 1887 and is still being produced in a small town where the founder Homère Clément and his son first created their product.

The introduction to sugar beets in Martinique and the increasing availability of cheap South American sugar lead to the collapse of the sugar commerce in Martinique.

Homère Clément made the necessary investments and transformed one of the island’s most prestigious sugar plantations into a producer of world-class Rhum Agricole. He had people return to the fields, harvesting the sugar cane once again but instead of making refined sugar, he was to single press the cane to extract the best and aromatic cane juice to turn this into Rhum Agricole.
